Make adaptation happen.
We are building Resilens because the biggest barrier to climate adaptation is not missing science or missing funding. It is unclear decision-making. The right tools did not exist, so we built them.

OUR STORY
We started with a problem no one had solved.
Climate adaptation science has advanced quickly. The data exists, the forecasts are detailed, and the risk models are improving. And yet cities, portfolio owners, and facility operators still struggle to translate that science into funded, defensible plans.
The problem is not the science. The problem is turning science into practical decisions. There is no standard way to compare a green roof with external shading or improved ventilation. There is no shared metric that both funders and asset managers can easily understand. There is no tool that turns a site list into a funding-ready investment plan without a long consulting project.
Resilens was founded to solve this problem. We started with two questions adaptation teams face every day: which risks require action first, and which measures are most likely to secure funding? AdaptationReturn is our answer.
Today, Resilens is focused on extreme heat adaptation and works with public and private pilot partners to turn site-level climate risk into prioritised action plans that can support funding decisions. We are a small team with experience in climate risk modelling, adaptation economics, and public sector decision-making. We plan to stay focused on this problem for the long term.
"Risks become visible. Options become easier to compare. Action becomes easier to fund."
Meet the people building Resilens.

Potsdam, Germany
A leading climate science location and the home of our German subsidiary, close to PIK and Germany’s broader climate adaptation policy and implementation network.
Wuppertal, Germany
A major hub for climate transformation research and home to leading sustainability policy institutes in North Rhine-Westphalia.
OUR CLIMATE COMMITMENT
We help organisations adapt to climate change. We also take responsibility for our own footprint.
Resilens exists to help organisations make better decisions in a changing climate. Alongside that mission, we recognise our responsibility to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with how we operate.
For us, sustainability is a principle, not a trend. We aim to make practical, evidence-based choices that reduce our footprint as the company grows.

Adaptation happens when decisions get made.
